Nordic Wristbands UKdesks

Desks UK guide

1. Signing in

Desks UK is the one sign-in for all Nordic Wristbands UK desks. Sign in here once and every tile opens its desk without another password.

  1. Type your e-mail and password and press Sign in.
  2. We e-mail you a 6-digit code (from noreply@nordicwristbands.co.uk). Type it and press Continue. The code works for 10 minutes and only once; Send a new code sends a fresh one.
  3. On your own computer or phone, tick Remember this device for 30 days. That device then signs you in with the password only, for 30 days.

If you opened a desk while signed out, you go straight back to that desk after signing in.

Sign out (top right) signs you out of Desks UK and of every desk at once.

2. When the code e-mail does not arrive

  • Look in the spam folder and wait a minute, then press Send a new code.
  • Type one of your backup codes in the Code box instead (My account → Backup codes; each works once).
  • Ask an admin: on People & access → your name → Change access → Make a one-time sign-in code. They tell you the code by phone; it works once, for 30 minutes, after your password.
  • Admins only, while e-mail is down for everyone: People & access → Sign-in codes → Turn sign-in codes off. Turn them on again afterwards.

Admins: keep a set of backup codes – they are your way in when e-mail fails. Safety net: an admin who has no backup codes yet and whose code e-mail cannot be sent (mail relay down) is let in with the password alone, with a red warning; this is logged.

3. Forgot your password?

On the sign-in page press Forgot your password?, type your e-mail and press E-mail me a link. The link works for 1 hour and only once. Choose the new password, then sign in with it (and the e-mailed code). An admin can also send you a new password link from People & access.

4. My desks

Each tile is a desk; click anywhere on it to open it. A greyed tile is a desk you do not have yet: write a short note if you like and press Request access. The admins get an e-mail. If a request is declined, the tile says so for a week; Ask again sends a new request.

QuickCalc is its own permission: with QuickCalc alone you get the quotation tool (price list, supplier offer, one-off calculation, draft quote in Sales Desk UK) but not the Landed Cost Desk pages or supplier prices. Landed Cost Desk includes QuickCalc.

5. My account

  • Change password: current password, then the new one twice (at least 10 characters). It works at once for every UK desk. Tick "Also forget my other remembered devices" if you think someone else knows your password.
  • Remembered devices: the devices that skip the code. Forget any you no longer use.
  • Backup codes: 8 one-time codes, shown once. Print them or keep them in your password manager. Making new ones cancels the old ones.

6. People & access (admins)

  • Access requests: Give: <level> gives the desk at once; Decline turns it down (the person sees it for a week). Their note is shown under the request. The People & access tab shows a number while requests are waiting.
  • Change access (per person): No access or a level for each desk, then Save. Admin (the tick box) = every desk at the highest level, plus this page and Updates.
  • Admin per desk: Commission Desk and Access Desk make the person an admin there at their next sign-in (taking admin away is done inside that desk). Portal Desk uses it at the person's first sign-in there; for people already in Portal Desk change it in Portal Desk → Team. Help Desk follows the level every time. Design Desk sets its admins itself. Landed Cost, Marketing and Sales Desk follow their levels every time.
  • Sign-in help (per person): Forget their remembered devices (lost phone or laptop) and Make a one-time sign-in code.
  • Add a person: name, e-mail, desks; they get an invite e-mail with a link to choose their password (14 days).
  • Disable this person stops them signing in to Desks UK and signs them out of every desk.
  • Change e-mail (per person, under Change access): type the new address and press Change e-mail; the next page shows old → new before anything changes. An address that someone else already has is refused. Every UK desk (Sales, Landed Cost and QuickCalc, Commission, Portal, Design, Access, Marketing, Help) keeps its own copy of the address and finds the person by it, so:
    • someone who has never signed in is changed in Desks UK at once (then press E-mail the invite again);
    • for anyone else, ask Claude for the change-everywhere install: one package on Updates that changes Desks UK and every UK desk together, with backups and a dry run, so nobody loses their customers, quotes, leads, commissions or admin rights.
Changes are logged. Changing e-mail addresses (bottom of the page) can allow Desks UK only changes – off by default; the other desks are then not changed.

7. Updates (Jone)

How Claude installs new versions: make an upload permit, Claude sends a package, and nothing is installed until you press Install. Each package checks the versions, takes backups and writes a log on that page.

Every "?" next to a heading or button explains that part on mouse-over (tap on a phone).
